Russo's brings my love of fruits and vegetables to an entirely deeper level.

Gentle
I have a feeling the next few days will be posts of my two white sweeties. I am so amazed at how resilient Luna is. While she's definitely more quiet after her scary day yesterday, she still has energy for tail-wags and jumping up on the bed. Little Fergie seems to totally get it, and is being so easy on her big sister. We're just taking it one gentle day at a time.

Resilient
A mild, sunny day. A visit to our cherished Fresh Pond. A happy Luna, romping through the woods. A huge laceration, most likely from a branch or fencing. A speedy trip to the vet. An emergency surgery. A fretting mom. A successful mend. A brave and tired Luna girl. A relieved and grateful mom.

Apprentice Midwife
Three year-old Matilda was very helpful at her Momma's prenatal visit today. Here she is helping me find heart tones of "her baby" with the fetoscope. Too much cuteness for words.

Laundry Day
Ringo, Luna, and Fergie decided to pitch in with some Sunday chores. They were especially helpful with sorting the laundry.

Hanging In There
This happy little orange sign has been through a lot. For five years she's been a bright welcome for those driving by, or those coming in for massage. She's weathered snow, ice, wind and rain; she's come down plenty of times, been dented, buried under snow, even lost. Recently, a client took in our weary sign, fixed her up with shiny new silver clasps, and returned her back to her post, from where she's been waving strong ever since. After 3 weeks of being out of work, it is so comforting to return to this familiar welcome - she's a little bruised and tired, but still waving, happy and strong.

Rascals
Free tickets to Rascal Flatts is pretty great. A spontaneous road trip to Mohegan Sun with these two awesome gals made it even better.

Not So Little Sister
I honestly can't decide which was more delightful - watching Solana in her gymnastics class, or watching Amaia watch her big sister in gymnastics class. This little sister is full of great big love!

Pack Animals
My 11-year friendship with this sister of my heart has shaped my life in many ways. Aside from our shared love of our dog pack, Maria has taught me much about the trust, safety, groundedness, and love that comes from having a true friend. An afternoon of her beautiful energy is like getting a happiness infusion for the soul.

Simple Pleasures
I realized this evening that in just one and half months, my gratitude practice has already changed my daily life in a profound way. I find myself moving through more and more of each day with a fresh awareness of my surroundings and a deeper feeling of gratitude. Even on days when it could be so easy to give in to stress or worry, I find myself paying more attention to things like: the sun in the sky with her light-bending magic, the hilarious sounds of Fergie snoring, the delicious smell of my tea steeping in its mug, how grateful I feel for my family and friends, and how much I love a Tuesday night at home with Meg, our furry foursome, stir-fry, and a cribbage board. Life is good.

Smile!
What a happy Valentine's Day this was, filled with people I love and much gratitude.
The morning was highlighted by a photo shoot with a great friend and her sweet baby, Andrew. This little guy is truly the happiest baby I've ever known - his adorable giggle is positively contagious!

New Beige
It's been a day of indulgence in my home-sweet-hometown: my favorite linguica and mushroom pizza from Pa Raffa's, visits to TWO portuguese bakeries, a nostalgic drive through Acushnet and Fairhaven, and cribbage-playing and movie-watching with Mom and Dad. This is the way to spend a Sunday.

Home
A visit to the ocean is like going home. I release all worry to her crisp sea air and roaring waves and my soul is soothed.

Sanctuary
It was a gorgeous day for a drive to Lincoln and a visit with one of my dearest doula sisters. I always love the opportunity to escape the city and spend time with Maria in her cozy home with its happy orange door. I am so grateful for this beautiful friend, her generous heart, and her kind wisdom.

Rice and Beans
Kerry and Mary are the kind of friends who venture out on a 7° Tuesday evening to bring yummy Dominican comfort food and the absolute best hugs.

Outing
It felt amazing to get some fresh air today - Fergie, Luna, and I ventured out to the dog park to celebrate the blue sky and the melting snow!

Staycation
It's been a week of resting, surrendering, and healing, greatly supported by my reading list and my sexy flat screen TV (thank you Tina and Kate!). I'm getting pretty good at recuperation.

The Crazies
Those who know me are probably wondering how I've made it a whole 36 days without yet posting a photo of my nieces. Aside from usually having too much fun to really bother with my camera, the truth is they just move too fast! This is one of the few non-blurry Solana photos, just before they turned the living room into dance party. I'm crazy about these girls.

Couch Potatoes
Olivia came over today to keep me company on the couch - Dora the Explorer is pretty awesome in HD, especially when there are cupcakes involved!
It was another day of wonderful visits, generous friends, yummy treats, and a transcontinental surprise package from the talented aforementioned Erika B (see handmade healing quilt in the background - so gorgeous!) It is becoming more difficult to post only one photo each day, when there is so very much to feel grateful for.

Icy
It's been quite spectacular watching the snowy drama from my cozy spot on the couch. We've had some exciting avalanche-like ice boulders falling from the roof. I feel grateful for Meg who has been a snow-shoveling powerhouse. I also feel pretty grateful to have a legitimate reason to not have to leave my cozy spot on the couch.
